The Pandavas who had left     Varanavata wanted to remain incognito after having established kingship with the ogres – the children of nature & moved forward. And they came to a township called Ekachakra.They lived there for a time in the guise of Brahmacharis in the house of a Brahamana.There, mother Kunti was also with them. And lo! there they met a demon who had put the township out of joints.Bhima faced the demon foursquare & killed him. The people of Ekachakra were free from the fear of the demon. 

News came that Krishnaa the princess of Panchala would choose her husband among the assembled dignitaries.The five brothers decided to visit the assembly or the Swayamvara of Krishnaa.There Arjuna excelled in a tourney & obtained the hand of Krishnaa or Draupadi the daughter of the king of Panchala.This was a dynastic marriage.The Pandavas, children of the royal family of Hastinapur, moving about incognito struck a marriage deal with the royal family of Panchala.It added to their diplomatic strength.
